This workshop offers an in-depth exploration of the evolving landscape of pharmacovigilance across the MENA region, with a special focus on regulatory updates, advanced technologies, and critical healthcare challenges. Bringing together industry experts and regulators, the event will feature discussions on the latest developments in orphan drugs, vaccines, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and the use of AI and technology in pharmacovigilance.

Key sessions will cover:

Regional Regulatory Updates: Focused on recent advancements in pharmacovigilance regulations in Lebanon, Algeria, Egypt, and Oman, this session will outline how these changes are enhancing safety monitoring and compliance.

Orphan Drugs, Rare Diseases, and Vaccine Safety:Addressing the unique pharmacovigilance challenges posed by orphan drugs and vaccines, this session will explore their role in combating AMR, with a focus on post-marketing surveillance and safety signal management.

AI and Technology in Pharmacovigilance: This session will dive into how AI and data analytics are being utilized across the MENA region to enhance drug safety monitoring and optimize pharmacovigilance processes.

Who should attend?

Professionals in the pharmaceutical industry working in or with pharmacovigilance. The discussions planned will be of benefit regardless of seniority level. If you have little or no PV experience but do have regulatory experience, we strongly recommend combining this workshop with the Fundamentals of Pharmacovigilance Training Course taking place the day before on the same location.
