Objectives
The objective of this study was to gather information regarding patient experiences and interactions with direct-to-consumer advertising and how it influences their healthcare decisions.
Method
A survey was prepared to gather data about patients’ exposure and attitudes towards direct-to-consumer advertising. Patients chosen were admitted to a telemetry unit at a community hospital. Patients were solicited to complete the surveys by pharmacy personnel between November 2016 and March 2017.
