DIA Pharmacovigilance Workshop (Middle East & Africa Region)

In a rapid changing environment, pharmacovigilance plays a key role in maintaining the focus on patient safety. Middle East & Africa Regions are gaining more space in the pharmaceutical landscape with the innovation and development of new medicines.
This workshop’s aim is to bring together key stakeholders from different regions to share good practices and requirements into getting the actual guidelines into practice.
The conference format is designed to stimulate dialogue and generate solutions through a series of interactive sessions and workshops conducted in an informal setting allowing for in-depth discussion in smaller groups.

Market Access & HTA in the Middle East: What Every Pharmaceutical Stakeholder Should Know

This course will reflect on market access and health technology assessment (HTA) from a policy perspective and it will focus on the national and sub-national levels of strategy formulation and execution.
Its main objective is to illustrate how pharmaceutical pricing & reimbursement (funding) policy is developing, how the use of HTA is evolving, and how companies should address these developments by reinforcing both their strategic and technical market access capabilities.
The course will cover key concepts and provide an overview of methods used in the assessment and appraisal of pharmaceuticals during the pricing and reimbursement decision-making process.
