This session will discuss potential cultural impacts on various patient engagement processes, especially in US, UK and Japan. Presenters will briefly overview the contextual differences, such as medical system, provide actual cases, and facilitate the participants to identify tips to listen to patients globally, in order to incorporate those into global drug development.
Learning Objective : Describe general patient practice and value differences (including in patient-doctor relationships) between Eastern culture and Western culture, and also understand the background to those differences; Identify potential opportunities and limitations to leverage patient voices in different cultures; Discuss further incorporating global diverse patient voices into drug development.
