This session will explore the legal, regulatory and practical issues arising from the use of wearables and data used in new technologies in clinical practice. We will discuss the wide application of data in healthcare and the new types of challenges for innovators. We will also analyze the topics of data flow and consent.

Learning Objective : Analyze legal perspectives and challenges stemming from the use of these new technologies, including the legal and regulatory frameworks and the topic of consent; Describe connected devices and how to optimize the use of aggregate data for the benefit of patients; Discuss the different usage of data in healthcare, ranging from clinical trials to drug development/ repurposing and patient monitoring and early diagnosis.
