This session will give participants a view into the future of healthcare, with predictions being made by Canada InfoWay, a federally funded organization looking to accelerate the adoption of digital health solutions, such as electronic health records, across Canada. We will also explore the evolving regulatory landscape as it related to software, including SaMD and other digital products. In addition, we will hear from industry regarding development in these areas and how best to collaborate with regulators and stakeholders in our ecosystem to incorporate these new products effectively.
Learning Objective : - Gain perspective on the future of healthcare through the Canadian citizen’s lens and how this will look different post-COVID
- Discuss the evolution of the medical device regulatory landscape, the new considerations from a regulator perspective as software becomes more integrated into healthcare decision making
- Reflect on the information provided to create internal strategies related to an evolving digital health ecosystem
