This workshop will focus on effective and impactful techniques for managing our (remote) world, detailing concrete strategies for productivity, communication, and achieving balance. For most of us, 2020 involved figuring out how to function as remote workers, often while virtual-schooling our kids and/or working at home with our family members. For single people, isolation in a remote work environment may have been the biggest challenge. In either case, finding the balance between “working from home” and “living at work” was a considerable part of the journey of 2021. This session will discuss concrete techniques for our current remote lives that will be useful whether we return to office-based jobs or stay working at home. We will detail how value setting can provide the clarity needed to achieve work/life balance. We will explore useful communication strategies and best practices. This session will also share concrete methods to develop, build, and sustain work/life balance.
Learning Objective : Describe how to incorporate values and value setting into our approach to work/life balance; Discuss and explore best practices for communication in the virtual setting; Detail strategies for balancing the demands of business in the virtual world with our personal lives (2021 and beyond)
