Session Chair(s)

Long-term follow-up studies enable the collection of longitudinal safety and durability of therapy. Whether they are during clinical development or post commercialization, these studies are often mandated by regulators and can last up to 15 years. Understanding the disease and patient pathway as well as goals of data collection inform the strategic approach to study conduct. The key to efficiency, however, is understanding the nuances and having the right tools available to effectively answer the research question(s). In this session, we will dig into strategies that maximize data collection while understanding the patient journey and minimizing patient, caregiver, and site burden. These strategies include digital and virtual approaches to support remote data collection and promote flexible patient engagement.
