The term Artificial Intelligence is often bandied about with respect to the possible application for clinical trials, but more practical applications are needed to move life sciences clinical research forward. In this session, our esteemed presenters will present two use cases: one discussing the use of Conversational AI to improve participant recruitment, engagement, and retention; the second will present research on extracting of patient-reported outcomes from publicly available data via a bespoke combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP). These presentations place an emphasis the patient voice and patient engagement to improve clinical research via artificial intelligence.
