This is part one of two sessions focused on organizational culture change. This session will focus on why changing organizational culture to embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion is an important component of enabling the success of DEI efforts more broadly across multiple areas of R&D. It will also focus on what is needed to affect such a culture change, how change agents can help and how organizational change may be measured.
Learning Objective : At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:
- Formulate a rationale for culture change to support DEI in their organization
- Distinguish between true culture change (heart & mind) and mandatory processes (compliance)
- Recognize the importance of selecting and developing change agents to effectively implement culture change
