Mr. Kento Asano currently serves as Deputy Director at the Academic Clinical Research Center, Department of Medical Innovation, Osaka University Hospital. After graduating from Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine, Division of Health Sciences in 2004, Mr. Asano began working for a company related to clinical trials and clinical research, where he held administrative and managerial positions, and since 2013, he has been engaged in supporting the development of new medical treatments originating from academia and the operation of ethics review board, as well as organizational management.
Hayley Chapman, MHS
Senior Program Director, Patient Focused Medicines Development (PFMD), The Synergist, Belgium
Hayley has over 25 years of experience in healthcare and serves as Senior Program Director at PFMD/The Synergist. Based in Canada, she holds a Master of Health Science from the University of Toronto and has held roles in Marketing and Community Engagement. Her expertise includes strategic partnerships between biopharma companies and patient organizations. She is committed to enhancing patient-centric practices and has contributed to Patient Advisory Boards, drawing from her personal experience as a caregiver following her child's cancer diagnosis. As a Senior Program Director at PFMD, Hayley leads initiatives focusing on patient experience data, patient-centered ESG integration, and operational efficiencies to ensure impactful outcomes.
Nobutaka Yagi

Nobutaka Yagi is a senior patient engagement (PE) specialist at Boehringer Ingelheim. In this position, Mr. Yagi is responsible for leading PE activities in Japan, which also include building evidence captured by patient experience data to amplify values of therapeutic options. Mr Yagi is a thought leader of patient and public involvement in Japan, working for PPI JAPAN, a EUPATI's national platform and closely collaborating with PFMD. Mr. Yagi is also the representative director of YORIAILab, an NPO providing the Clinical Trial Ambassador project. Mr. Yagi has 24 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Yagi holds a MSc in Statistics from Oregon State University, with additional backgrounds in social/behavioral sciences.
Masanori Okuse

Masanori Okuse is the chairman of INSPIRE JAPAN WPD - The Japanese Association for Public Awareness of Psoriasis, and also is a part of the board directors of IFPA, International Federation of Psoriasis Associations, as a patient with psoriasis. He formerly worked for pharmaceutical companies and CRO for more than 30 years in total. In the companies, he has a wealth of experience in marketing, medical affairs and clinical trials. He has served as a patient advisor for the Patient Advocacy Committee, PhRMA since 2023.
