Meet Our Confirmed Speaker From the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education
Brian Smith, JD, MPH,
Brian A. Smith, JD, MPH, is an attorney and ORISE Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Brian focuses his work and research on public health law and policy, with emphasis on healthcare regulations, rare disease policy, and drug laws. He has previously served as a Board Fellow with the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys and worked as a Legal Extern with Baxter International. Brian has presented on healthcare law and policy issues at numerous academic, government, and professional settings, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Maryland General Assembly, the American Health Law Association, the National Rural Health Association, and the National Organization for Rare Disorders.
