Healthcare systems in economies of every size continue to struggle with finding ways to ensure access to safe and efficacious healthcare products for their patients. Simultaneously, the healthcare landscape is evolving toward value-based assessments, and there is a need to understand the impact of this movement on all stakeholders: providers, payers, industry, and patients. DIA brings these stakeholders together in a neutral forum to accelerate the integration of value and access discussions more broadly throughout the product development process and lifecycle management.

DIA Think Tank: Global Access to Innovations in Healthcare, a DIA Executive Roundtable
In November 2022, DIA convened a multistakeholder roundtable to engage leaders from the pharmaceutical, technology, academic, advocacy, and policy sectors in collaborative discussion focused on addressing inequalities in access to innovations in healthcare. Various stakeholders prioritized a list of challenges and barriers that make universal access in low- and middle-income countries difficult in which the following considerations were discussed: patient journey, diagnosis, supply chain, funding, infrastructure, and regulatory.
