Program Development Guidelines

Speaker Resources

  • PowerPoint Template
    All speakers are required to use the DIA PowerPoint template when creating their presentation, with the exception of government agencies. For-profit organizations and industry logos are not permitted to be included in slide presentations per ACCME Standards for Commercial Support. In addition, speaker clothing and/or virtual backgrounds may not carry logos or other company specific emblems. This is to ensure that all DIA activities are educational and not commercial and/or promotional.
  • Speaker Badge
    To help promote the conference, DIA asks that you insert the Speaker Badge in your email signature or online profile. Please be sure to hyperlink the graphic to the conference website.
  • Social Media Starter Kit
    Your leadership and influence are essential to the success of this conference. We appreciate your help in promoting the conference.
  • Effective Presentations
    This eLearning module has been developed to provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to create interactive and engaging presentations that foster participant-centered learning. This module will provide best practices for creating PowerPoint presentations, as well as share tips for enhancing your overall presentation.
  • Speaker Invite Discount
    Thank you for speaking at our conference! We are offering all speakers a discount code 24SPKR150 to share with colleagues who would like to attend the conference. This discount code provides the individual $150 off their conference registration fee and should be added in the Promotional/Referral Code box, after the the conference has been added to cart. The discount will then be applied on the payment screen at checkout. Please pass along to your colleagues/networks when promoting the conference!
    This discount cannot be applied to individuals already registered. It is applicable only to new registrations.

Responsibilities and Standards for Program Participants

We ask all participants, veteran and new, to review the responsibilities outlined below to determine your ability to commit to the Conference. These responsibilities and standards are in place to provide a clear understanding of the expectations for both DIA and the program participants (Chairs, speakers, panelists, instructors) to ensure a positive experience and a successful program.

Chair Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established deadlines
  • Read and adhere to DIA's Volunteer Code of Conduct
  • Read and adhere to the Event Attendee Code of Conduct
  • Complete a disclosure and authorization for presentation of materials
  • Provide DIA with a brief biographical sketch (via Speakers Corner) and a high-resolution headshot (in jpg format to Jessica.Roman@DIAglobal.org) for the online program agenda and marketing purposes
  • Ensure the description and learning objectives, for your program offering(s), are complete and match the content to be presented.
  • Notify DIA immediately should a situation arise that would prevent your participation within the program
  • Work with your Program Committee and DIA Staff (via tele or Web conference) prior to the event to ensure a successful program
  • Submit PowerPoint slides, using the DIA template, prior to the event for review by the Program Planning Committee and for the CE review
  • Adhere to DIA policies regarding travel support
  • Support promotion of the meeting and suggest marketing outlets for DIA to pursue if applicable

Speaker Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established deadlines
  • Read and adhere to DIA's Volunteer Code of Conduct
  • Read and adhere to the Event Safety Code of Conduct and the Waiver of Liability, Disclaimer and Release
  • Complete a Disclosure and Authorization for Presentation of Materials form
  • Provide DIA with a brief biographical sketch (via Speakers Corner) and a high-resolution headshot (in jpg format to Jessica.Roman@DIAglobal.org) for the website
  • Notify DIA immediately should a situation arise that would prevent your participation within the program
  • Work with your assigned Session Chair and DIA Staff (via tele or Web conference) prior to the event to ensure a successful program
  • Submit PowerPoint slides, using the DIA template, prior to the event for review by the Program Planning Committee and for the CE review
  • Adhere to DIA policies regarding travel support
  • Support promotion of the meeting and suggest marketing outlets for DIA to pursue if applicable
