Shou-Mei Wu

Dr. Wu has been the Director-General of the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) since 2017. Under Dr. Wu’s leadership, TFDA have made best efforts to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of food, medicinal products, medical devices and cosmetics. Dr. Wu actively promotes international cooperation, including regulatory harmonization and joint review. In recent years, she participated in meetings such as DIA, ICH, APEC LSIF, and Joint Conference of Taiwan and Japan. Before joining TFDA, Dr. Wu was the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Kaohsiung Medical University and dedicated herself to education and research. She had received numerous awards from Ministry of Education and Economic Affairs in recognition of her contribution.
