Michael Romano,
CPA

Michael Romano is a Partner and leader of the Life Sciences Industry practice group for RSM in the Greater Atlantic area; is a Partner in the Technology and Management Consulting practice at RSM; and leads the Finance and Accounting Outsourcing group for RSM in Blue Bell (PA). In these capacities, Michael assists clients with accounting and financial reporting requirements, capital raises, financial and operational restructurings, strategic direction and execution, and providing leadership and financial guidance to grow their businesses. Michael has over 25 years of diverse experience in both the life sciences industry and, having started his career with a Big Four accounting firm, as an audit and business consultant. In more than a decade of life sciences industry experience, he has been responsible for general management, financial management, M&A, and global operations. Michael has orchestrated successful financial and operational turnarounds, restructured and reorganized businesses, and successfully executed growth strategies. Michael gained in-depth experience in pharmaceutical outsourcing by serving as Vice President and General Manager of a global medical publisher offering health information products and services to the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device markets. He also spent several years working for a privately held specialty medical communications company, and with a clinical research and contract manufacturing organization, and began his career in the auditing practice of EY in Philadelphia. Michael is an ad-hoc member of the Audit Committee in DIA’s Board of Directors. He earned his dual Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Drexel University.
